2012 is a great year to visit Japan! Tourists will receive a splendid welcome (or welcome back!), as renowned hotel companies will be opening new world class hotels and resorts in many major destination areas.
Companies known internationally for their outstanding accommodations and amenities, such as the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons and Resorts and Starwood Group, to name a few, as well as Japanese luxury hotel developers like Hoshinoya and Hoshino Resorts, are all bringing their own extraordinary visions of luxury to their newest lodgings.
Other high end hotels to be opening soon include the Intercontinental Osaka (scheduled opening 2013), Marriott Osaka (scheduled opening 2014), and Ritz Carlton & Four Seasons Kyoto (scheduled opening 2014).
Okinawa will also be home to several of these wonderful hotels and resorts. The natural beauty of the lush, tropical islands, combined with the unique history of Okinawa's ancient culture has, especially recently, made this region a tourist destination paradise. Visitors to the islands can enjoy ryokan (traditional Japanese inns) hospitality from Hoshino Resorts, as well as celebrated luxury provided by major chains like Ritz Carlton, and the Four Seasons and Resorts, which currently operates two hotels in Tokyo and will be opening a new resort in Okinawa, following up with Kyoto (see above), then Hokkaido.
Starting in 2012, the international traveler to Japan can find a glorious variety of world class hotels in more locations than ever before, waiting to pamper you and cater to your every need!
