Opened on October 9th, 2000, the John Lennon Museum has displayed Lennon's widow Ms. Yoko Ono's collection of his memorabilia, as well as other displays. As the world's first museum with the official approval of Ms. Yoko Ono, the museum receives visitors from around the world and communicates his message globally.
Upon the expiration of the 10-year agreement between Taisei Corporation, the parent company, and Ms. Yoko Ono, the museum will close its doors on September 30th, 2010. However, the spirit of John Lennon and Ms. Yoko Ono, and people all over the world who wish for "Love & Peace" in the world, will remain forever.
