The 24-hour operational Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) now welcomes a rapidly increasing number of foreign and domestic travelers (approximately 70 million passengers annually), making it imperative that they offer greater access during the late evening to early morning hours.
Five shuttle bus lines operated by Haneda Airport are planned to provide service between the airport and major terminals in the center of the Tokyo metropolitan area starting on October 26, 2014 until March 31, 2015.
The planned routes are:
Departures from Haneda to the below locations will be offered between 1:00am – 2:00am. Arrivals will be offered between 4:00am – 5:00am.
Haneda Airport ⇔ Ginza, Tokyo, Akihabara
Haneda Airport ⇔ Shinjuku, Ikebukuro
Haneda Airport ⇔ Shibuya
Haneda Airport ⇔ Otorii, Kamata, Shinagawa
Haneda Airport ⇔ Yokohama (Yokohama City Air Terminal “YCAT”)
During this time period, no other public transportation is in operation other than taxi service, so this service will truly be a boon to travelers heading to or from Haneda during the late evening or early morning.
