Releasing the New Tokyo Subway Ticket!

 

On April 22, 2014 (Tuesday), Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. and the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation shall begin sales of the new Tokyo Subway Ticket which allows tourists to enjoy unlimited rides on the nine Tokyo Metro lines and four Toei Subway lines.

 

The Common 1-day Ticket for Tokyo Metro & Toei Subway (¥1,000) which allows for one day of unlimited rides on all Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines is currently available at stations. However, the new Tokyo Subway Ticket will be available to domestic and international tourists for a great value price set lower than this Common 1-day Ticket for Tokyo Metro & Toei Subway. The new Tokyo Subway 1-Day Ticket is valid for one day of unlimited travel and costs only ¥800, the 2-day ticket is valid for two consecutive days of unlimited travel and costs ¥1,200, and the 3-day ticket is valid for three consecutive days of unlimited travel and costs ¥1,500. These new Tokyo Subway Tickets are intended to make travel in Tokyo more convenient and hassle free.

 

Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. and the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation are committed to improving service levels with a view to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and trust that overseas visitors using the Tokyo Subway Ticket will enjoy being able to travel more affordably in Tokyo.

 

 

 

Tokyo Subway Ticket Details

 

1. Ticket Types and Fares

 

Tokyo Subway 1-Day Ticket (Valid for 1 day) - Adult ¥800 / Child ¥400

 

 

Tokyo Subway 2-Day Ticket (Valid for a 2 day period) - Adult ¥1,200 / Child ¥600

 

 

Tokyo Subway 3-Day Ticket (Valid for a 3 day period) - Adult ¥1,500 / Child ¥750

 

 

 

2. Valid on

 

All Tokyo Metro lines and all Toei lines.

 

3. Eligibility

 

Available to overseas visitors, and domestic visitors residing outside the Greater Tokyo Area (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Yamanashi).

 

4. Where to Buy

 

Airport sales counters (Narita or Haneda) or regional travel agencies.

 

5. Sales Begin
