Join David Bouley for a once-in-a-lifetime spectacular culinary journey to Japan in spring 2013. From March 5th – 13th, Bouley, a classically trained, internationally renowned chef of two Michelin starred restaurants located in New York, will accompany a small group to Japan. Bouley has a longstanding association with Ecole Tsuji Tokyo, the best known culinary institute in Japan, and a deep affinity for Japanese food. It is through his relationship with the Institute that the many exclusive highlights of this tour have been made possible.
The glories of Japanese cuisine will be experienced by travelling through some of Japan's food meccas, namely Tokyo, Kyoto and Nagano. Guests will visit famous fish markets, enjoy a private cooking class, and explore many sights and tastes that will delight gourmet foodies. Other special tour features include stops at historically old-world sites such as shrines and temples, trips to an art museum, wasabi farm and sake brewery, and wonderful detour to some upscale shopping areas! Accommodations include a stay at a fabulously traditional Japanese inn, nearly half a century old, famous for its breathtaking old-world aesthetics.
