Osaka Station, the largest terminal of the western Japan, has been reopen after renovation on May 4th, adding a new and cool landmark to Osaka.

The renovation improved the accessibility and barrier-free equipments in this mega station, where 800,000 people come and go everyday. The concourse is covered with 590 ft by 328 ft dome-like roof, whose height is 217 ft at the highest. And you can see amazing number of trains leave and arrive at the station from the aisle running from the north to the south under the dome.

In the North Gate Building, literally located in the north of the station, are a new department store "Isetan Mitsukoshi," one of the most prestigious department stores in Japan, a shopping mall of 198 boutique shops as well as a cinema complex. The renovated South Gate Building furnishes everything travelers need : another long-established department store "Daimaru," Hotel Granvia Osaka and a food court.

Osaka station area has been one of the busiest and most fun places in Osaka, with a bunch of fashion buildings, department stores, restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities. As this is the terminal from where you can travel almost all major sites in Kansai region, you can just stop by and enjoy the cool feature of Japan!
