“Geidai Arts in Tokyo Marunouchi”
Tokyo University of the Arts holds art exhibition and musical concert in Marunouchi
Marunouchi and the Tokyo University of the Arts, one of Japan’s oldest and most prestigious art schools, invite you a special art exhibition and musical recitals Oct. 26-31, at the Marunouchi Building. This marks the fourth event of this kind in Marunouchi, aiming to support young artists and convey a variety of art and cultural messages from the Marunouchi area.
This year’s highlights include an original opera performance, “Yataro Iwasaki’s sworn friend, Glover and Madama Butterfly,” which tracks the birth of the famous opera Madama Butterfly. A number of animated films by the school’s graduate students will also be showing, as well as art performances in modern ink painting, and a Chinese Kirigami display.
