Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is inviting the first Michelinstar awarded woman chef in Switzerland, Irma Dütsch, to our event “Swiss Week”, that will be held from October 3rd to 17th, 2010. This will be a climax event of the Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts 30th Anniversary Promotions that are currently being offered till October 31st, 2010. During this two-week period, guests will be able to see and experience true “Swissness” at the Swissôtel in Osaka.
“Swiss Week” will start with an opening event in which Michelin-starred chef Irma Dütsch will be on stage introduced to Osaka. She will also be running a cooking class for 40 ladies demonstrating the talents of female chef at near-by cooking studio, at ABC Cooking Studio. During the two weeks, guests can enjoy both lunch and dinner that will be presented byChef Irma at 10F La Tour French Restaurant (Chef Irma will be in restaurant daily from October 3rd to 6th only). Furthermore, a wine-tasting session with a Japanese sommelier specializing in Swiss Wine and panel exhibition of scenery of breathtaking nature of Switzerland will also be showcased throughout the hotel during the event.
Irma Dütsch is a famed chef who was the first woman chef awarded a Michelin star in
Switzerland as well as 18 Gault Millau points. She ran the famous Restaurant in the Swiss town of Saas-Fee for more than 30 years. Since then, Irma Dütsch, a woman of
inexhaustible inventiveness, has been in constant demand as an international guest chef.Before Chef Irma arrives in Osaka, she will be invited to Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow and will also be attending an annual chefs event “Chefs with Altitude” at Swissôtel The Stamford in Singapore after her visit to Osaka.
