On June 6th, 2009, U.S. Nippon Television started the 3rd season of “Visit to My Homeland.”, featuring famous tourist spots and hidden spots such as hot springs, theme parks, food, traditional and modern culture that prefectures and local governments take pride in. Broadcasting in English or with English subtitles, it is the sole showcase to show Japan travel to New Yorkers for a deeper understanding. The new season will introduce spots which are even unknown within Japan; you surely won't be disappointed!
The 3rd season opens with Nara Prefecture. With the 1300th anniversary of Nara Heijo-kyo Capital the theme is “The beginning of Japan, Nara”; an exciting content with Japan’s present and past. From the ever-changing Japanese Capital of Tokyo (premiere!) to a special focus on the 4 prefectures around the Seto Inland Sea, you will be able to enjoy high quality images of Japan's beauty.
